Mr. Shreyansh Sharma is currently working at SCWRM as a Research Assistant and is involved in research related to duckweed-based systems for wastewater treatment. His expertise extends to the laboratory work related to various microbial cultures being studied for their bioremediation activities. He has pursued his bachelor’s degree of Science (2015) In Biotechnology, Microbiology and Biochemistry from Acharya’s Bangalore B-school under Bangalore University.
He obtained his master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). His Post Graduation Dissertation was on “Reclamation of Reusable water from sewage through biological treatment using duckweed”. The work done on duckweeds can bring incremental changes to the current wastewater treatment systems, thereby strengthening the sustainable waste management initiatives being undertaken by the department.
